Styled | Christianson's Nursery
This elegant, playful, cosmos-filled wedding design celebrates the flirty, fun romance between sweethearts, Anna and Kyle.
Anna and Kyle’s celebration takes place at the beautifully manicured gardens of Christianson's Nursery & Greenhouse in Mount Vernon, Washington. The property features a charming schoolhouse, built in 1888, which created the perfect backdrop for our event.
The bright and colorful cosmos flower represents harmony, balance, innocence, tranquility, joy, and at its core—friendship. As a nod to role that friendship plays in their relationship, we incorporated the friendliest of details throughout the celebration. A friendship bracelet station invites guests to make and trade bracelets with other guests throughout the soiree. Napkins are displayed with delicate, handmade initial adornments. The stationery features hand-stitched cosmos designs and includes the tagline, “let’s be friends.”
The focal point of the reception area is a colorful tablescape with textured taper candles and varying size low-bowl cosmos arrangements, with traditional dining tables. Colors are blocked together in a whimsical floral design, allowing each of the ingredients a bold moment. Other unique details include live music and a cotton candy station.
Inspired by cosmos, the celebration includes two idyllic his and hers cakes with bespoke sugar flowers. Both cakes are tiered, designed with paper thin rolled fondant that was then pressed with pattern, torn at the edges, and wrapped.
Anna wears a high slit organza and silk blend wedding gown, with the illusion of two pieces. Anna’s personality reflects that of the gown, a juxtaposition of poise and youthfulness.
The film photography and Super 8 Footage highlight he love story between Anna and Kyle with a vintage twist.
