juliet + lou is a full service event planning, design, and floral design studio based in the greater Seattle area. j+l is named after co-creators and sisters, Elsa Juliet Walker and Hannah Louise Ham.

We’ve been planning and designing events for as long as we can remember, though officially launched our small business in 2015 out of a passion for design and assisting engaged couples and their families.

We look forward to getting to know you and potentially partnering with you in creating a celebration unique to you and your relationship.

Who you are, your story, experiences, interests, and loved ones matter to us. We truly care about our clients. We want to know when your birthday is, that special place you grew up vacationing, how you smile at your finace’s jokes. We believe by spending time with you, we get to build a special relationship with you and create a celebration that reflects who you are as a couple, as only friends could do. We are your project manager, your personal assistant, and advocate.

As artists, j+l events are inspired by a shared love of fashion, interior design, fine art, music, and natural elements found around the world. We have a holistic design approach, choosing florals and design components that complement the season and venue.

All our florals area crated in-house, using local blooms and through sustainable practices as much as possible. We pay special attention to how each element naturally opens and falls, in order to create a more romantic, effortless piece. Our wild, garden-inspired arrangements and clean lines often used in our design create a timeless, romantic event for the modern bride.

We spend hours on your wedding, researching the best vendors for you, setting up and attending meetings, reviewing contracts, negotiating offerings, and finding the best products and florals for your design to create a concept that’s unique to you. We intentionally only take on a limited number of weddings per year so our clients receive the best service.

Planning, Design + Floral Design | starting at $12,000

This service is our specialty and what we are most known for in the wedding industry. For the couple desiring hands on assistance throughout their engagement season, this collection is for you. We’ll guide you throughout the wedding planning process as your project manager, personal assistant, and advocate.

Planning

- Unlimited planning meetings
- Wedding etiquette guidance
- Budget development and analysis
- Coordination of potential and hired vendor meetings, including but not limited to: venue, catering, entertainment, photography, beauty, and so on

Day of Coordination, Design + Floral Design | starting at $9,000

This service is for the couple wanting to plan the majority of their event, such as curating and managing vendors, but would like a professional designer to develop a design concept and oversee all the aesthetic pieces of the celebration.

Day of Coordination

2.5 MONTHS PRIOR TO WEDDING:

- Wedding etiquette guidance

- Wedding rehearsal coordination, co-led with your officiant

WEDDING DAY:
- Wedding day coordination with 1 lead and 1 assistant
- Ensure vendors are available to complete their tasks after you depart the venue
- Ensure personal items leave with designated guest

Design

- Unlimited design meetings
- Guidance in discovering your personal style, preferred color palette, and overall mood of the celebration

We specialize in organic, garden-style arrangements, partnering with local growers as much as possible to bring you the most beautiful blooms and foliage in season. juliet + lou arrangements are typically more wild and organic in shape, as opposed to traditional arrangements, which are characteristically tight and round. We pay special attention to how each flower naturally opens and falls, in order to create a more romantic, effortless style. We use a variety of ingredients and textures to create both dynamic, design-forward installations and simple, understated pieces.

- Includes labor, tools, vase rental, and cost of flowers
- 1-2 floral design consultations

COLLECTION IV.

Day of Coordination | starting at $3,800

As your Day of Coordinator, you will have unlimited accessibility to us from the moment of booking to ask any questions as they arise. Our involvement will ramp up 2.5 months prior to your wedding date. At that point, we’ll work together so you’re able to pass on all the day-of responsibilities and vision to us. Our goal is that you’re able to be present and enjoy your wedding day, while we handle the details.

We love to assist our clients with their entire wedding weekend. Our service helps create a seamless experience for guests and further allows our clients to be present with their loved ones.

TRAVEL

$1.00/mile outside King and Snohomish Counties

All travel costs, including mileage, ferry fares, and lodging are covered by our clients when outside King and Snohomish Counties. We work with flat fees and mileage fees to accommodate travel expenses. However, please inquire for more details and options.

Meet juliet + lou

 

Our team consists of eight individuals that make our events happen. Elsa is the lead planner, designer, and florist. She is the primary point of contact.

Hannah, Addie, Eline, Tiffany, Karissa, Tyson, and Libby help execute our clients celebrations alongside Elsa. Depending on the service rendered and the scale and scope of the celebration, there could be two to eight of us present.

Elsa Juliet Walker

My love for weddings started during my engagement season with my now husband, Tyson. The details, the design, the relational aspects- after a few years of dabbling in the industry, my sister, Hannah, and I were all in.

Tyson and I celebrated our twelfth wedding anniversary this past June and are still deeply in love. He’s been my biggest supporter in my wedding planning career from day 1. We live in southeast Lynnwood with our three little girlies, Leighton Savoy (7), Vienna Juliet (4), and Rae Elizabeth (2). These ladies have grown up as industry babies. They enjoy coming down to our studio to see what I’m designing and occasionally help fill vessels with water or create bud vases- Leighton is actually really good at it. Tyson and I enjoy gardening, exploring the PNW’s best restaurants and cooking at home for our family and friends, both new and old.

I’m also a big fan of:
- Audio books | primarily the classics, all Emily Henry, and fiction (I tend to lean towards stories with racial and social injustice)
- Rom-com’s | Clueless forever
- Dates | brunch with friends, concerts with Tyson (we’ve seen Johnnyswim 6x), a day trip to the islands, a bike ride by the beach- you get it

Hannah Louise Ham

Having traveled to over twenty countries, Hannah has a deep-rooted love for old books, cobblestone streets, and romantic designs. She loves to connect with people through stories and sees each event as a platform for expression. Hannah married her husband, Jeremiah, in September of 2015 and they also have three daughters, Camellia Frances (5), Noa Jane (2), and Eliza Lou (0). On a wedding-free weekend, you’ll find her wandering a farmers market or hiding away with a good book and a latte.
